My Background
I graduated from St Georges university of London in 2018 with a degree in Biomedical Science (Bsc Hons) , and I am studying Medicine at a London university.

As a medical student, I understand what students are going through, whether it be finding it difficult to comprehend the subject at hand and/or applying their knowledge to exam questions. With my five years of experience in tutoring, I have developed effective revision techniques and resources that I believe are incredibly useful. My sessions focus on working with students in tackling their weaknesses, improving their confidence and mastering exam technique.

Subjects Available for Tutoring
I currently tutor a number of subjects including GCSE Maths, Chemistry, Biology and A-level Biology and Chemistry. If you are looking for high quality one-to-one sessions to build your confidence and have access to exam-style resources, please feel free to contact me to book in your first taster session with no added pressure to book in any further sessions.

It is now the time to learn at your own pace with flexible lessons and hours. As a tutor, I am enthusiastic and keen to build my student's confidence in their chosen subject by ensuring all of my lessons are tailored your school's exam board specifications.

How are the lessons planned/organised?
All of my students receive a tailored plan which can be accessed via google documents. The content is taught according to their subject specification.
The content is taught to all students, however after every module is taught the student then receives a pack of past paper questions and practise question for the module to practise their exam technique in real time. This allows them to apply their knowledge but also to get used to the format of exam questions from the first month of tutoring.
The aim is to complete all teaching 6 weeks before the first exam as that time is solely saved for revision and completing whole exam papers under timed conditions.

Lessons are taught via Skype/MS Teams with an interactive online whiteboard. My sessions are very interactive to help build the students confidence and to keep them engaged. Students are given homework, quizzes and practise questions to monitor their learning.

Previous experience
-I was a mentor in 2016 at a secondary school in Newham. My role entailed giving advice to students on how they can work towards achieving their goal. This included teaching them revision techniques to excel in their exams as well as giving them direction into what subjects they should pick to achieve their goals to get into the degree/university of their choice.
-5 years experience in tutoring on a number of different tutoring platforms.
-I am currently an anatomy demonstrator, teaching first and second year medical and biomedical students human anatomy.

As a tutor all I ask is that the student completes their weekly homework and to be inquisitive. Students who put in the effort by attending their sessions and completing the tasks to the best of the ability will succeed in their studies.

I spent the majority of Year 12 struggling with Chemistry so I got in contact with Iqra for tutoring before my exams. I'm so glad I did as she was extremely beneficial for my understanding and gave me the confidence boost that I needed to keep me motivated.

Not only is she an extremely supportive and caring tutor but she is a very nice person making our sessions interactive and enjoyable. She is also very understanding when it comes to planning lessons and has been very accommodating when problems come up and sessions need to be rearranged.
