About Sarah

Hello, my name is Sarah! I was born in China and am a native Mandarin speaker. After completing my Master's Degree in China I decided to further my studies by completing another Master's Degree in Australia. While at university in Australia , I was selected as the English study role model from more than 200 students and in 2020 my story was selected by Australian Science Week and International Science Week to encourage young students to embark on careers in the sciences. At present, I work for the Australian Government and am hoping to begin a secondary career as a Mandarin tutor. Some of my strengths include: - Prior experience as a Chinese Mandarin tutor - An excellent level of accent-less Chinese Mandarin - High level knowledge of Chinese culture - Logical and well-organized class structures - Practical, effective and professional manner - Expertise in job seeking, resume structure, covering letter layout and interview questions Teaching Methods: My classes are always well prepared: in one hour you can learn many authentic Chinese Mandarin expressions. You will be surprised at how fast your language skills can grow! For conversation classes, we can choose a topic to talk about which could be our lives, friends, families, studies, work, our favorite sports, books, film, music and food. You will learn more about vocabulary, phrases, conversational styles and Chinese culture. I will tune your tones, fix your pronunciation, correct your grammar mistakes and practice with you. Target students: From beginners to advanced level students HSK1 ~6 and Business Related students YCT1 ~3 for children We will enjoy our time together while learning Chinese Mandarin and about Chinese culture. I am Sarah, your best Chinese tutor. I am looking forward to meeting you soon!
