I want my pupils to feel like they can approach me if they are unsure about the lesson content without feeling insecure about their learning.
My qualifications:
Bachelors in Science (with honours) in Physics and Astrophysics; University of Bristol
Professional Graduate Diploma in Education/PGDE in Secondary Physics; University of Edinburgh
My professional experience includes:
4 years working as a physics teacher in secondary schools in Edinburgh, UK (pupils aged 11-18).
1 year of online tutoring with pupils undergoing their Physics GCSE's.

As mentioned in my title, I am an experienced teacher of physics and general science. I have experience teaching Physics to all secondary school levels and senior school levels in the United Kingdom (ages 11 to 18). I am currently working towards my registration with the Queensland Council of Teachers and I am familiar with the Queensland physics curriculum (secondary and senior). I also have 1 year experience with tutoring via zoom with pupils in England that are taking their GCSE's in Physics.
As a tutor, I am aware that many of my tutees will have upcoming assessments and examinations, so for a new tutee, my approach is very straightforward. I begin with an initial assessment of the pupils' current level and attainment of the course content (I also take this opportunity to get to know my pupil as both a learner and a human being). After that, I aim to be as pragmatic as possible by prioritising different sections of the course depending on the pupils current attainment and the time we have left before any major assessments. After a learning schedule is done, my lessons will consist of revision of the course content, refining exam technique and setting a few tasks to be completed outside of our scheduled lessons.
My lessons will be between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes (depending on the pupil).
