About Uma
I’m a second-year university student at the downtown UofT campus here in Toronto. I’m originally from Lithuania but grew up in Calgary. I’ve enjoyed the straightforward logic of math my whole life and I love working with kids. Tutoring felt like the perfect way I could combine both, and also help the students I work with because I know how frustrating it can be when math concepts are struggling to click. To me, it seems the best way to teach each student is to try different approaches and find what works best for them, which I intend to do to the best of my ability!!

I will work with the student(s) step by step through homework, challenging math questions, and test preparation. My goal is to increase understanding so that the students can take what we work on and apply it themselves in class and their future! Any areas that need extra support will receive more attention and we may try more practice questions to make sure every concept is well understood :)
