I myself always used to have my dad tutor me, and I know better than anyone how important it is to just have someone to support you through hardships, and it just so happens that in this case it has to do with academics. I have been volunteer tutoring for the past 2 years of high school, so I have experience in helping kids actually reach their goals

My lessons generally focus on simply just beginning with the task at hand at face value. Once I assess the difficulty and nature of the content that needs to be taught, I either go right for it, or relate the difficult concept to a previous and more elementary concept, allowing the student to have an open mindset when dealing with difficult subjects.
