About Jessica
I am a newly-qualified secondary school teacher, with History and Politics as my main disciplines. I first completed my undergraduate degree in History and Politics, meaning I have a great breadth of knowledge in these subjects. Afterwards, I completed my postgraduate degree in secondary school teaching, which I loved!
I had very successful student placements, building positive relationships with both pupils and staff members. I have also worked in schools as a support assistant, helping pupils on a more one-to-one basis, meaning I have experience working with individuals, small groups and large groups.

I have experience teaching secondary school children, aged from 12 to 18.
My lesson structure consists of a starter (to increase pupil engagement), teacher-led content (using PowerPoint), an individual or a group task and a plenary (to assess the knowledge learned). I try to make my lessons as engaging and active as possible and I will plan my lessons to suit the needs of individuals.
