About Martina
I’m an Italian scientist with a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology. Throughout my career, I’ve never stopped learning. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve acquired is that information builds confidence. When faced with a challenge, I always delve into the subject that’s perplexing me. While science can be challenging if you’re not passionate about it, it offers a profound understanding of the world and our bodies. As a tutor for medical students at my university in Italy and a mentor for undergraduate lab assistants, I’ve had the privilege of teaching various individuals in different contexts. This diverse experience has honed my flexibility and reliability as an educator. Additionally, being Italian instills in me a natural inclination towards being kind and approachable.

I like to start from day-to-day experience to understand the impact of science in our lives. Each topic can have a specific level of knowledge based on students’ needs (college biology is way more specific than middle school biology). Everyone is welcome to join my lesson since we can create a custom lesson plan. I studied biology in college and I have practiced it in a laboratory for more than 10 years. I hope to pass on my learning to a future class of scientists.
