About Kayla
Music connects people to their own confidence and expression. I teach because I love watching students find their true sound. I have worked with 96 students ranging from Grade 3 newcomers to adults settling into Canada. My own journey as a BFA graduate in Music Performance informs how I guide hobbyists and intermediate singers.
Whether we are tackling pop, classical, or musical theater, I focus on the unique needs of each performer. It is satisfying to see someone move from tentative notes to confident delivery.
I balance the technical side of vocal health with the emotional side of performance. My studio is a space for growth and steady development. I find it energizing to work with such a diverse range of voices.

Warm-up routines are the foundation of every great vocal performance. I provide recorded warm-up exercises that are shared for daily home practice to keep your voice in top shape. We will navigate vibrato control, harmony singing, and microphone technique in a supportive environment.
You will find that sight singing and pitch control improve drastically with consistent, specific exercises. I draw on my BFA degree to teach genre styling and head voice transitions for my grade exam candidates.
We will also focus on performance confidence to prepare you for any stage. You will walk away from every session feeling more capable than when you arrived. This is the path to vocal mastery.
