About Riya
I’m Riya, a biologist trained at IISER Tirupati with research experience at Harvard Medical School (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute). Over the years, I’ve studied biology in its many dimensions—from molecular and cancer biology to neuroscience and plant physiology—always with an eye on how each part fits into the larger system of life. What I want to share is not just information, but a way of thinking about biology: one that is connected, interdisciplinary, and meaningful. I believe that real learning happens when you see how concepts link together, when facts become stories, and when curiosity drives understanding. I want to share my knowledge because I’ve been fortunate to learn from world-class mentors, and I know how powerful good guidance can be in shaping confidence and clarity. Teaching is my way of giving back—helping students see biology not as a subject to be memorized, but as a living, evolving science that they can truly engage with and master.
