About Flora

I am a singing tutor with over 13 years of experience, teaching college students to become confident and expressive performers. My lessons focus on building strong vocal technique, including breath control, pitch, tone, and vocal agility, while nurturing creativity and emotional expression.

I use interactive and innovative teaching methods such as vocal improvisation, recording exercises, and song interpretation. Lessons are customised to the student’s pace, goals, and style to ensure effective and enjoyable progress.

Performance skills are central to my teaching. I guide students in stage presence, expressive delivery, and confidence for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are included to provide a complete musical foundation.

I encourage students to explore different genres and styles, experiment creatively, and develop their personal voice. My philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and accountability, making every lesson inspiring and rewarding.

About the lesson

My singing teaching methodology is student-centred, structured, and motivating. Communication is key to helping students understand their voice and develop their skills. I explain vocal techniques such as breathing, pitch accuracy, tone control, and voice projection in a simple and practical way. Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace and learning style.

Creativity is emphasised in every lesson. I use expressive singing, song interpretation, and vocal exercises to help students enjoy learning and develop emotional connection with music. Students are encouraged to explore different genres and express themselves freely.

Cultural sensitivity is highly valued in my teaching. I welcome songs from diverse cultures and languages, explaining their meaning and context. This fosters respect for global music traditions and creates an inclusive learning environment.

Accountability is maintained through structured practice routines, goal setting, and continuous feedback. I carefully track progress and guide students step by step. Along with singing, I also teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, and vocal care.
