About Shonah
Shonah Trescott is a professional artist who exhibits internationally. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and residences and her work is held in public and private collections in the USA, Japan, throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Australia. She has worked with major museum and institutions around the world such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico, the German Polar Institute and BMW. She has taught extensively in the USA, Germany and Australia and worked with the department of Education in NYC developing art programs for underprivileged communities. She has lived and worked in remote communities in the Arctic where she developed a program with international scientists on art science education. In NYC shonah also worked with teenagers and adults on advanced portfolio development courses for students preparing for Ivy League bachelor and post graduate study. She has frequently guest lectured at museums and art schools. After spending the last 16 years abroad she now lives and works in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
