About Inaya

Hey! I’m Inaya

A little bit about me, I’m a huge dog lover, I love reading and I’m the kind of person who can turn a simple conversation into a full-on discussion about why something happened in the world.

I’ve always been curious about people, different cultures, politics and what makes people think and behave the way they do. I’ve always enjoyed learning when I could actually connect what I was studying to real life, and that’s exactly how I like to teach too. I don’t want lessons to feel like you’re just sitting there listening to someone talk for an hour. I want them to be interactive, relaxed, and something you actually look forward to.
You can ask me as many questions as you want, challenge my opinions, bring up something you saw online, or tell me you absolutely hate the topic we’re studying!!! we’ll figure it out together.

I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping people understand things, especially when they initially feel like they’re “just not good” at a subject. Sometimes all you need is for someone to explain it in a different way, and that’s what I’m here for!

My Approach to Tutoring

I like to keep my classes relaxed, interactive and focused on actually understanding the subject rather than just memorizing information. I usually start by figuring out what the student is comfortable with and where they need more help and then plan the lesson around that.

For subjects like Politics and Geopolitics, I like using real-world examples and current events to make topics easier to understand and more interesting. For Psychology and English, I focus more on understanding concepts, building strong arguments, essay writing, and exam technique. I also encourage students to ask questions and discuss topics rather than just listening to me explain them.

Lessons are usually 1 hour long, but I can be flexible depending on the student and what they need.

My lessons are mainly for middle and high school students, including IB students. I’m happy to work with students at different levels depending on what they need help with.

Inaya is an amazing tutor! She has a great way of breaking down IB English Language and Literature concepts and explaining them in a way that makes them easy to understand and remember. Even after finishing my tests, I found myself remembering and applying the concepts she taught me, which really shows how effective her teaching is.

I have known Inaya as an academic peer and study partner, and she is a genuinely exceptional tutor. She has a rare talent for teaching. What makes Inaya stand out is her ability to make dense, complex topics truly accessible. Rather than simply teaching for an exam, she helps students understand the underlying ideas, whether she is deconstructing a literary text, explaining psychological theories, or analysing global affairs. She is remarkably patient and teaches you how to structure strong arguments and think critically on your own. She clarifies difficult material and builds confidence. Inaya is professional, encouraging, and deeply invested in helping others succeed. I cannot recommend her highly enough to any student looking to excel in these subjects.
