About Jude
I have 5 years of experience teaching at homeschool co-ops and afterschool academies, as well as private tutoring. When it comes to teaching English, I make sure to keep in mind that every student is different. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences, but I firmly believe that everyone has the chance to become an excellent writer, even if English is not their first language. I am currently earning my bachelor's degree at George Mason University in International Relations, and have worked with students of all different backgrounds and experiences. I am currently in the process of earning my TEFL certificate, so I can continue to help students learn English as a second language. I have had a passion for literature and language since childhood, and love to help my students become the best writer they can be!

Hello! I'm very excited to join superprof as a tutor. With my lessons, I provide not only a productive and enriching lesson for the student, but also an opportunity for them to express themselves through their writing. Normally, I begin my lessons with a free-write of a topic that interests them. Once they have written their paragraph, we discuss said topic, and the student is given the chance to talk more about a topic they are passionate about. After we have discussed the free-write, I give the student the chance to show me any essays, homework assignments, or readings they are having trouble with. We take a look at said problem-areas together, and troubleshoot the flaws of their work, and how we can work towards building better reading, writing, and comprehension habits. In the last 5-10 minutes, I give them a chance to ask any additional questions. Occasionally, if the lesson calls for it, I will give them a mini-assignment to complete before the next lesson. With these, good study habits are built, and it gives them the motivation to have something fun and light to work on.
