About Colin
18-year-old Junior at Oregon State University studying Chemistry with a focus in Pre-Med. Passionate about math and excited to share what I know. I know what it's like to struggle, I don't see failure as a loss, but rather an opportunity to improve. The more you view failure as a tool rather than a setback, the better you will become.

My Tutoring Approach I believe effective tutoring is about more than just reviewing material—it’s about building confidence, curiosity, and independent problem-solving skills. My sessions are interactive, tailored to each student’s needs, and designed to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and real understanding. - Teaching Methods & Techniques - Use of a virtual whiteboard to break down concepts visually and step-by-step. Guided practice through sample questions to test knowledge and track progress. Connection of new topics to what the student already knows, ensuring long-term retention. Encouragement of questions at any point, with clear, approachable explanations. - Typical Lesson Structure (1–2 hours) - Check-in – Review recent classwork and identify areas of difficulty. Concept Focus – Target one or two key topics with explanations and worked examples. Practice – Solve problems together, gradually shifting responsibility to the student. Assessment – Use short sample questions to measure understanding. Preview/Prep – Introduce upcoming material to give the student a head start. - What Sets Me Apart - Flexible, student-first approach: if a session runs long or unexpected questions come up, I provide the extra time free of charge. Emphasis on both review and preparation: I help students catch up on challenging material while also getting ahead on upcoming lessons. Focus on impact: I continuously assess progress to ensure tutoring is making a measurable difference. - Who My Lessons Are For - High school and undergraduate students, especially those in STEM subjects (chemistry, biology, math, physics). Anyone who wants structured, supportive, and engaging tutoring to strengthen skills and gain confidence.
