About Milly
I'm a friendly and enthusiastic person with a strong passion for science, animals and working with people. I previously volunteered at the hospital at the SPCA, where I developed practical skills in animal care and teamwork. Outside of this, I'm very involved in music - I play piano, viola and cello, and I also sing - which has helped me build strong communication skills, discipline and confidence. I enjoy being around people and pride myself on being approachable, positive and always willing to lend a hand!!

I previously tutored younger students at my high school through a peer-tutoring system set up by senior students, and the way I approached the lessons was very similar to how I structure my own study, with the main focus being properly understanding the subject, not just memorizing the key points. For NCEA 1-3, I would offer lessons targeting the core concepts in depth, as well as going through past papers together/marking past papers. I'm also happy to give generic exam/study advice that can be applied to all subjects. I'm flexible in terms of the length of lessons, but typically anywhere between 30-60 minutes.
