About Lauren
I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and currently pursuing my Masters in Library and Information Science as well as a Master of Education degree. I live just outside Columbus, Ohio and have two boys that keep me busy. I teach kindergarten three days a week and substitute teach in all grades throughout the week. I also have 8 years ESL experience both teaching in person and online, which I love!
I love to be outside, go to baseball games, read books and walk my dog in my spare time. My boys keep me busy and we love to visit local parks and splash pads in the summer and get back to OU for football games in the fall!

I love to get to know my students by learning about them, what they like, and adjusting lesson plans to make it more interesting to my individual students. I typically like to start a session with a little check in, to see how things are going. Then a little warm up, small activity before diving into the content for our session. Depending on needs, age and what our goals are, our tutoring session could consist of games, reading books, speed games and math games. I typically work with elementary age students (K-5) but can work with middle school and high school students for English, Social Studies, Psychology and other humanities based courses.
