About Asim

Hi, I’m Asim, a first-year Computer Science student at King’s College London. I went to school at UTC Heathrow, and I got A*AA at A-level in Maths, Economics and Computer Science.

I started teaching because I remember exactly what it felt like to find these subjects hard. The topics that clicked for me were always the ones a teacher explained in a different way, and that’s what I try to do for my students. Spending a year teaching GCSE Computer Science at Watford Grammar School for Boys showed me how much a student’s confidence can grow when they get patient, one-to-one support.

I sat these exams recently, so I know the current specifications and the mistakes that cost marks. I’m friendly, patient and reliable, and I want every student to leave each lesson understanding more than when they arrived.

Outside studying, I play club badminton and football and enjoy building PCs.

My lessons are built around you, not a fixed script. The first lesson is free. I use it to find out where you are, which topics are holding you back, and what grade you’re aiming for. Then I build a plan around your exam board and syllabus.

Lessons are interactive. You won’t sit and listen to me talk. You’ll work through questions with me, draw the diagrams yourself, and explain ideas back to me, so I can see exactly what you understand. Every lesson finishes with exam-style questions, and I teach exam technique: how marks are awarded, how to structure longer answers, and what examiners look for.

Lessons usually last 60 minutes and take place online with a shared whiteboard. I can set short practice questions between lessons and send you notes after each session.

I’m a Computer Science student at King’s College London, and I got A*AA at A-level in Maths, Economics and Computer Science. I’ve also spent a year teaching GCSE Computer Science at Watford Grammar School for Boys, so I know the specification and the topics students find difficult.

I teach GCSE and A-level students in Maths, Economics and Computer Science, whether you’re catching up, aiming for a grade 9 or A*, or preparing for mocks.
