About Charlie
I am a final year law student, hoping to qualify as a Barrister in law and a part-time academic engaging in research and teaching in the higher education sector. I am commencing my Barristers Training Course in September 2026 and then hope to complete pupillage and eventually a PhD in law. I have developed a love for research from my EPQ in Leadership Psychology, which I completed in my final year of A Levels, and this has extended to seeing me write journal articles in law around my areas of interest, including access to justice, legal pedagogy, criminal law (sexual offences), Law of Evidence, Medical Law and Family Law. During my degree, I have developed experience in teaching law to a range of audiences, including primary and secondary school students. I received some training in teaching during my time in the RAF Air Cadets, where I taught parts of the BTEC in Aviational Studies.

I teach through engaging more deeply with the relevant content by having discussions about the subject matter to help develop understanding and critical analysis. I also utilise exam-style questions and sample assessment criteria to help students start to develop an understanding of what examiners want to see from them. I am particularly flexible in assisting neurodiverse students.
