I use literature as a vehicle to help draw out the student's voice and thoughts.
This class teaches the power of the written word and its ability to enable strong, interesting interaction. I have applied this mode of teaching for the past three years with high school students, adult learners, and with young learners.
It is inspiring when students recognize the power of their writing, and when their grades increase across all subjects through improvement in their English language. The class is always enjoyable and enables the student to control the lesson content.
