About Sylika
I am very familiar with the national mathematics curriculum and the use of technology to aid in success. I have written lesson plans for the state of Florida, written the curriculum map for middle school mathematics in Osceola County school district (Kissimmee, FL), and worked on the Technology Integration team for the district. I have been teaching for 6 years and have always taught students at the lowest level of learning. As a result of my out of the box teaching methods, my students have achieved the highest improvements in the district math testing. One individual who I tutored one-on-one throughout school has, now, graduated and studying for her Master's degree.

Mathematics: I'm Loving it! I am a high-spirited teacher in my 6th year. I have a BA and am working on my Master's in Mathematics Education with a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focus. I bring a real-world approach to teaching that allows learners at any level (beginner to expert) to develop a love of mathematics. I am open to any method that a student takes to solve a problem as long as s/he can explain how s/he arrived at the solution.
Also, I do SAT Prep, Reading tutoring, and homework help.
