About Soham
Hi, I’m Soham! I’m 18 and I’ve been tutoring Maths for 11+ students at Bright Young Things. I got a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and I really enjoy helping people feel more confident with the subject. I took Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry for A level and got accepted to study Accounting and Finance at the University of Nottingham

Teaching methodology: I make sure every lesson builds on what students already know. Each session starts with a short 10-minute quiz to review topics from previous lessons, reinforcing key skills and boosting confidence. For new topics, I begin with clear, step-by-step exemplar questions so students can see exactly how to approach different problems. We then work through a variety of examples together before moving on to independent practice. Students send pictures of their work via Zoom so I can give feedback. This structured approach helps students develop exam confidence.
