About David

I am currently studying Sociology as an undergraduate student having spent studied studying English Literature at GCSE and A-Level, gaining an A* in both. Currently I am in my 3rd year of working as a freelance Private English tutor, which spans from non-native speakers and younger children to secondary school students. My other areas of interest are languages, specifically romance languages and their influence on English.I am current

About the lesson

Struggling with KS1, KS2, or KS3 English? GCSEs? IGCSEs? AS Levels? A Levels? No problem! I offer guidance and tutoring in English for people of all ages and levels. Having studied in depth the English literature courses, I am familiar with much of the syllabus structure devised for these exams, I know exactly what examiners want to see and how to get the student to that level.

Our first lesson will involve me trying to get as much information as possible about the student, their hobbies, their course/ syllabus so that we are able to move forward with a concrete plan and begin to make some improvements.

The most important part of my approach is the student. On top of pushing them to reach a level they can be proud of based, I want to ensure their wellbeing and peace of mind throughout the process. I encourage them to be open about anything they disagree with and to express their thoughts about their progress and what they think they need to do to improve. I met David last year having had very little knowledge or experience with the English language. It was immediately very clear to me that David has a very good grasp of the English language and loves to teach. He made very clear lesson plans and guided me through the language day by day and within a month I was able to begin conversationally speaking English.

David is a polite young man with a great attitude towards his work and a really friendly approach to languages. He was patient and made sure to make everything clear and concise. I would definitely recommend David to speakers of all levels, and I wish him all the best!
