About Samantha
As a native speaker, I initially struggled, not with the language itself, but with understanding what the curriculum actually requires. Once I learned how to break down marking rubrics and examiner expectations, improving became much more straightforward.
I now teach students how to approach English in the same way, focusing on what examiners are really looking for and turning it into clear, practical steps. I’ve completed IELTS, A-Levels, participated in Model United Nations, and supported peers who relied on my notes and feedback for exam preparation. I’m especially strong in exam-focused skills like essay writing and analysis, with proven improvement from C grades to A* in a short time.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, ranging from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on their needs. I prioritize quality over overload, as I’ve seen firsthand that overworking can be counterproductive to achieving real progress.
I begin by understanding each student’s goals, whether that’s improving speaking, exam preparation, or overall course support, then build sessions around targeted materials and strategies. I focus on identifying the root of weaknesses and addressing them directly for the best results.
My teaching style is friendly and engaging. I move away from traditional, repetitive methods and instead aim to make learning both effective and enjoyable, using structured yet creative approaches to help students truly understand and retain material.
