About Josiah
I'm an A level student with ambitions to study maths at Cambridge University. I am currently studying maths, further maths, computer science and economics and I am predicted A*s in all four subjects. I also achieved six grade 9s and two grade 8s at GCSE, with grade 9s in maths, further maths and computer science. I have had a strong interest in maths and coding since I was quite young and I enjoy teaching them to others. I have informally taught maths and coding to friends and relatives in the past, which has helped me to learn how to teach and communicate these subjects effectively.

My lessons are for maths and further maths students at GCSE level or KS3 level. I teach lessons for both foundation and higher students. Lessons could vary between 50 minutes and an hour and a half. A lesson would usually start with a warm-up of a topic I have covered with the student previously. I would then ask the student if they need help with a specific topic, and I will teach a lesson on that topic if they do. Otherwise, I will have a prepared lesson, in which I will teach them a topic before helping them work through some questions on it. At the end of the lesson, we will do a quick recap of what we have covered to make sure they understand it. I will then ask them if there are any specific topics they need help with in their next session so that I can plan a useful and effective lesson.
