About Paulette
Teaching became a second career for me in the mid 2010s. I have a bachelor's in Marketing/Business Administration with a minor in Spanish (language) from Bradley University. I attended Loyola University for their MBA program in the 1990s and left to enter real estate. I sold real estate for 17 years while operating another business to business practice at the same time. I left both of those positions to become a teacher after falling in love with helping struggling children in the classroom while volunteering in my own children's classrooms. I attended the University of St. Francis and earned my Masters of Education in Special Education. I left the public school system after 10 years, worked in a private school for 1 year before opening my own office to support nonspeakers in 2023.

- First and foremost, I PRESUME COMPETENCE that your child is able to learn.
- I am very patient, kind and can offer many approaches to teach a subject including visuals, contrast visuals, a variety of manipulatives to show how and why something works or does not work, large print, grade level lessons.
- I'm here to help and support the student and I will not demean them or their efforts.
- I do specialize in working with nonspeakers, but I also work with all types of students and no diagnosis is required.
- I prefer working with Kindergarten to 8th grade neurotypical students and any grade/age of nonspeakers including adults.
- I have access to grade level curriculum from multiple online and textbook resources to personalize a plan to meet your needs.
