I have spent my entire professional career in the show environment behind the soundboard, behind the curtain, or out in front with the crowd as a front of house engineer. I have worked with and for some of the best in the industry. I have years of firsthand experience and knowing what makes a great show and what it takes to get there. I can help with a simple question or a full training session.

About the lesson

The most important thing about being a live sound engineer is using your ears and understanding what "good" "beautiful and "amazing" sounds like. The human ear and body hears and feels frequencies between 20hrz - 20,000hrz thats cycles per second. Every below 300 hrz down to 0hrz the body feels. Humans are mostly unaware of frequencies not between 20-20,000. But thay are still there. 1 full in out phase of a speaker cone. You can't hear 5hrz but you can see it. Teaching yourself, educating yourself, and spending lots of time listening to everything. From the sound of the streets to the clatter of pots and pans or the screaming tone of an electric guitar or wack od a snair drum. You need to spend many hours behind a sound board using parametric and graphic eqs just to find your ears. Audio is very subjective, and everyone has certain frequencies that please them and irritate them. And everyone is different. You have to think of running sound as a giant algebraic equation. With many finite variables and several infinite variables. The solution is in your ears and brain as a beautiful mix. I can help you break down and master all of the tools and variables. I can help you take the mystery out of all of the infinite variables. I will teach you how to take the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful and turn it into something amazing. There is an old saying. Everything is negotiable. Everything worth anything has a cost and takes time. If everything were free nothing would be worth anything.
Im not gonna watch the clock. I want our time together to be of value. Every sound issue is unique. Every learning curve is different. Every mentors legacy is within every protege. I will respect your time as my own. I will bring you along with me. As you grow or figure it out i will then fallow and guide you as you learn or run into issues. I must charge 1 hour for every first time client. However. Every second call under 1/2hour is free. So you buy a hour you get 1/2hr free at another time.
