About Cathy
Before settling in the south of France, I was a professor at the university in London,. where I taught international business and Chinese for many years as part of a course at a university in London. very experienced, now I also give private tutorial via webcam to professional learners as well as SOAS, UCL and Kings students, helping them to achieve great results in HSK exams and their academic exams. Having studied Turkish at SOAS and international business in China, I am culturally aware and open-minded. I can give you a good overview of Chinese culture, economy as well as historical background of some events.

My teaching approach is communicative and student-centered, constantly adjusting teaching strategies to meet your specific learning goals, be it conversation, grammar, or Chinese characters. Many of my students who were stuck at the intermediate level were able to progress to the advanced level thanks to my tutoring. I am also particularly good at explaining complicated grammar points which can be frustrating if one is to progress beyond the right level of survival. I firmly believe that building a solid foundation in pronunciations and tones helps build student confidence. With my hands-on approach, many students find that they can start communicating and making logical sentences in one or two lessons. Classical Chinese study help can also be provided, Classical Chinese has different grammar from Modern Chinese, I can also proofread your thesis and lessons. Translation and interpretation services are also available. Individual and group requests are welcome. References from current and previous customers can be provided upon request. Intelligent and dynamic courses with a flexible schedule and a reasonable price, from 15 euros per hour.
