About Coraline

My Maths lessons focus on uncovering the power and story behind data. I teach students how to interpret numbers with purpose, connecting mathematical ideas to real-world meaning. Together, we’ll master the art of graphing techniques, learning how to present information clearly and effectively. You’ll gain the ability to transform raw figures into visual stories that make sense at a glance. We’ll also dive deep into statistical analysis, exploring averages, distributions, and correlations to reveal what data truly tells us. Each lesson includes practical exercises using real-world datasets from science, economics, or social studies. By analysing these, you’ll strengthen your quantitative reasoning skills and learn how to approach problems critically and creatively. My teaching is patient, supportive, and focused on building confidence. I work closely with learners who may find Maths challenging or overwhelming, helping them feel capable and curious instead of intimidated. Through step-by-step guidance and clear explanations, I ensure every student develops both understanding and independence.

About the lesson

I’m a Maths tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Statistics. My passion lies in exploring how mathematics fuels creativity in art and design. In my lessons, we explore parametric equations to create generative art, turning mathematical expressions into dynamic, evolving visuals. I also teach Fourier analysis to understand and shape sound through its fundamental frequencies, bridging the worlds of maths and music. Geometry takes a creative turn when we dive into tessellations, designing intricate repeating patterns inspired by nature and architecture. To bring these ideas to life, I use tools like Processing for coding-based visuals and Blender for 3D modelling. These programs help students experience mathematics as something they can see, hear, and manipulate. My approach blends analytical thinking with creative exploration, helping learners connect logic to imagination. I work patiently with each student, adapting to their pace and interests while encouraging experimentation and discovery. Whether you’re an artist seeking structure or a maths learner seeking inspiration, there’s a space for you in my lessons.
