About April
I obtained a Master's in Cross-cultural Communication and Applied Linguistics at Newcastle University in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK as well as a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics at Brigham Young University and both a Bachelor's in Psychology and an ESL teaching certification from the University of Utah. I have taught ESL to students from age 2 to adults in Japan, China, and the U.S. in elementary and international schools and in public school districts as well as online. I love my students! I love helping them learn and progress toward their goals and to enjoy the journey. There are so many smart, lovely people from so many different backgrounds. In my spare time, I also like to write fiction, sing folk songs, read, play pickleball, and learn as many languages as I can including German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Italian.
