About Thomas
I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and Statistics from Purdue University and a Master's degree in Education from DePaul University in Chicago. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for five years in corporate business in the consulting sector, so I have some understanding of how a student's math education can translate to employment opportunities in the real world. My teaching experience has been a veritable United Nations! I started teaching outside Chicago in Skokie, Illinois, but then spent the next 20 years overseas in cutting-edge schools at the forefront of education in the following countries: Turkey, Indonesia, Singapore, Dubai UAE, Hungary, and Argentina.

Learning mathematics can be a challenge for many, but it doesn't have to be! It can be engaging and fun in the right environment. This has always been my philosophy over the duration of my 23-year math teaching career. I try to use different methods of instruction, often using games and activities to help with conceptual understanding.
