About Haoyu

Hi, I’m Haoyu, a USYD Advanced Computing student with a passion for helping others master my native language!

What sets me apart is the balance between my technical mindset and my linguistic precision. I hold the National 1B (Broadcaster-Level) Certification, which is the professional standard for television and radio anchors in China. This ensures that the Mandarin I teach is exceptionally clear and standard.

As a CS student, I bring an engineer’s eye for logic and rigor to my teaching (and I’ve definitely built up the patience that comes from hours of debugging code!).

Beyond the world of coding, I really like photography and music. I’m into K-pop, musical theater, and I’m also interested in music production. I think having a mix of a logical mind and a love for creative things helps me explain Mandarin in a way that’s easy to understand.

I am a friendly and easy-going person. I genuinely care about my students' progress and want to make sure you feel comfortable in our lessons. Whether we are fixing tricky grammar or just chatting about music and daily life, I’m here to help you every step of the way!

I believe learning Mandarin should be fun, not frustrating. I focus on making the language easy to understand through logical explanations and professional-grade pronunciation.
