About Aratrika
I am a master's student at the University of Sussex, studying Development Studies. For my undergraduate, I had a triple major in Psychology, Sociology, and Literature. I studied Maths till my A-levels (99%), and taught Maths and Science to 5th and 6th graders for two years. Growing up, I've always loved numbers- trying to find logic and patterns in everything I see. I've carried that passion on, now trying to help others discover the fun they can have with maths!

I try my best to learn as much as I can about the student before starting to teach, so that I can curate my lessons to each student's learning style. I start by breaking down confusing topics into simple, interactive, bite-sized steps, using visual aids, real-world examples, and patient explanations to make sure everything clicks. I focus equally on building confidence and enhancing aptitude, so there will be an optimum balance between guided and independent practice time. Questions are always encouraged in class, not just to clarify doubts but also to develop critical thinking.
