About Gurmol
Teaching is my passion and I am dedicated to deliver the best experience to my students! I love interacting with all kinds of students and focus on high school math and sciences ️
I have also tutored with Kumon Inc. (K-12), Tutordoctor (High School and University students), and at the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth! In addition, I have taught computer science/coding at Makerkids Leaside (elementary-junior high students). I have tutored a variety of subjects including Math, Sciences and English! I bring 4+ years of tutoring experience online and in person!

My approach as a tutor is grounded in patience, clarity, and building genuine confidence in students. With **4+ years of teaching experience**, certification through Tutor Doctor’s *Academic Game Plan*, and ongoing training through my **Child Care Level 1 certification**, I focus on understanding how each student learns and adapting my methods to fit their needs. I work with students to strengthen fundamentals, develop problem-solving skills, and build long-term academic habits—not just short-term answers.
I use **Google Jamboard** and other interactive tools to break down complex ideas visually. During sessions, I explain homework problems step-by-step and create personalized notes so students leave with clear, reusable study materials.

- Concept-first learning — ensuring students understand *why* something works before memorizing formulas.
- Guided problem solving — modeling solutions, then gradually shifting responsibility to the student.
