About Sierra
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I went to Southern Connecticut State University for both my undergraduate degree and my master's degree, and wrote a 90-page guidebook on how teachers can help students with learning disabilities in the classroom. My passion for helping struggling learners came from going through school with undiagnosed dyslexia until I reached college. I had to learn how my brain worked on my own, and how to compensate. I was able to achieve my master's degree with a 4.0 despite being dyslexic, and I’m passionate to help all of my students with making math a little less scary.

If one style of teaching doesn’t work for you, then it’s my job to present the material a different way. In college I had a focus on teaching students with learning disabilities, so I’m prepared to help ALL my learners reach their goals.
