About Jorge
I have been helping others learn math for many years in all kinds of settings. From formal lecturing--I have taught in the Indiana-Purdue University system and American University---from associates to graduate levels.
I have also helped at corporate settings and, of course, with private lessons. I can handle very large groups--up to 50. But I prefer small ones when interaction is more direct.
My students range from those who need help to understand a difficult topic, to those that want to perfect their understanding or go further. I have been successful in helping them pass diffucult tests, or gain admissions in a number of institutions.

After obtaining my Masters in Mathematics, I have worked as a business consultant (aided by an MBA and an MS in Strategy to complement the math) with some of the largest companies in the world, including Sony, IBM, Cummins, Nokia and Campbells.
This experience helps me frame mathematical problems and topics in practical terms, drawing from real life applications.
My lessons are very customized to fit your needs. Typically include mini-lectures (1 to 5 minutes) to clarify a concept or set context followed by problem practice and comments on applications.
