About Mark
I have studied Math to associate degree level, it is a subject I find interesting. I like teaching it to help my Students see it's daily application and find their preferred method solving problems.
I always model speech, dress and conduct expected in a school community so my students may themselves have respect, dignity, self confidence and self esteem.
Passing on my passion for learning and seeing students progress and achieve their goals is its own reward for me. It is why I chose teaching as my vocation.

My chosen vocation in Secondary and Special Education has been successful and progressive. My first three years in the UK at Redmoor High School I advanced from an LSA, to TA and HLTA.
During those three years, when Lesson Planning with the Teachers, I researched sourced and implemented digital media to support curriculum standards, activities and I.E.P. accommodations for my small group of inclusive SPED students. The group consisted of students needing support for BESD, ADD, LDD, MLD, ODD, HI and VI. The activities I supplied met the accommodations of my students who required short but concise information for the lesson topic. I helped my BESD students by giving commendation often for achievement, effort and behavior. They all passed end of year assessments and went on to their next school with improved behavior and academic success. Whilst completing my HLTA I had the privilege of teaching a grade 8 History class for a term that included my SPED students.
During my 7 years in the US, as a Special Education Teaching Assistant, I continued professional development achieving a BSc (Hons) Degree Interdisciplinary Studies. I was inducted as a member of Sigma Tau Delta the International English Honor society, one of my proudest achievements. Upon moving to Texas I completed a prestigious Teacher Training Program.
I was privileged to teach a Credit Recovery Summer Class, USA History from WW1 to the present, with mentorship from a School Administrator. All students passed and graduated the class. During my three years service at Platte City Middle School, Missouri, I organized and hosted a Living History day for students to supplement their class topics for the year.
