A little about my teaching methodology and techniques.
My teaching methodology revolves around establishing meaningful connections between mathematical concepts and real-life situations. By demonstrating how math is applicable in everyday life, careers, and various fields of study, I strive to make the subject more relevant and engaging for students. To tackle complex math concepts, I believe in breaking them down into smaller, more manageable parts. This approach enables students to grasp the information gradually, supported by examples, practice opportunities, and an environment that encourages questions and clarifications. Additionally, I prioritize setting clear learning objectives at the beginning of each session, ensuring that students have a sense of direction and a clear understanding of what they are expected to achieve.
Typical Lesson Plan.
In a typical 60-minute lesson, I start with a 10-minute warm-up activity to review the previous lesson and refresh students' understanding. Then, I spend around 20 minutes introducing the new unit, making sure students gains a good understanding of the topic. The remaining time is dedicated to working on worksheets, where the student is encouraged to work on the assignment independently but seek help when needed.
