About Aditi

My maths lessons focus on the power of data and how it shapes the world around us. We dive deep into data interpretation, learning to read between the lines of numbers and charts. You'll master graphing techniques, from basic plots to more advanced visual tools that bring data to life. Together, we’ll practise performing statistical analysis and uncover meaningful patterns hidden in large datasets. Real-world studies and current topics form the heart of our lessons, making maths feel useful and engaging. Each session builds your ability to think critically and ask the right questions about the data you see. I specialise in guiding learners who’ve felt unsure about maths—whether you're a teacher brushing up or someone who has always found maths intimidating. My goal is to make you feel confident and capable when working with numbers. We move at your pace, breaking down complex ideas into clear, simple steps.

About the lesson

With over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics, I specialise in helping students—especially non-STEM majors—connect with maths on a deeper, more intuitive level. My teaching goes beyond formulae and rote computation. I focus on the why behind the maths, not just the how. I’ve worked closely with liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and those with a history of maths anxiety. My goal is to create a welcoming space where curiosity leads the way. I use relatable analogies from everyday life, history, art, and philosophy to make abstract ideas feel grounded and meaningful. I emphasise the big ideas, those elegant structures that underpin even the most complex theories. Whether it's uncovering the geometry hidden in a Gothic cathedral or the patterns of logic in poetry, I help students see the mathematical beauty all around them. Historical context is also central to my lessons. I believe that understanding the origins of a concept often makes it less intimidating and more inspiring.
