About Tessa
My interest in mathematics began with a strong fascination for patterns, numbers, and logical reasoning. This led me to complete a PhD in Applied Mathematics, where I developed advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Over the past 13 years, I have helped students understand math in a clear and structured way that builds confidence and consistent academic success.
I believe math should be taught with clarity, patience, and regular practice. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex problems into smaller steps and guiding students through each stage carefully. I encourage learners to ask questions, practice consistently, and build confidence through understanding rather than memorization.
Outside teaching, I enjoy working on mathematical problems and exploring new teaching strategies. This helps me keep lessons engaging and effective. Teaching mathematics is very meaningful to me because I see students grow from confusion to confidence. Helping them develop strong logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and independent learning skills is one of the most fulfilling parts of my teaching journey.

Intermediate learners work on equations, patterns, and connections between topics. Advanced students focus on complex problem solving, logical reasoning, and exam preparation strategies. I provide regular practice exercises, guided solutions, and detailed feedback to ensure steady improvement and strong conceptual clarity.
