About Arina

Hello! I’m Arina, a dedicated and friendly Maths tutor who believes that every student can succeed with the right guidance. My approach is calm, patient, and structured. I take time to understand how each student learns best and tailor every lesson to suit their needs. I focus on building genuine understanding, not just memorising formulas. Together, we break complex topics into simple, manageable steps so that students not only improve their grades but also gain long-term confidence in maths.

About the lesson

I believe anyone can understand maths with the right approach. My lessons focus on clarity, confidence, and step-by-step understanding rather than rote memorisation. I help students see the logic behind each concept, using real-life examples, visuals, and problem-solving techniques to make maths feel more natural and less intimidating. My teaching style is friendly, structured, and encouraging. I start each session by identifying where a student struggles most, then build up their confidence through guided examples and gradual challenges. I often use past papers and exam-style questions so students can apply what they’ve learned in a practical way. • Lesson length: Typically 60 minutes (can be adjusted for younger learners or focused exam prep). • Qualifications/Experience: I’m a University of Kent Architecture & Planning graduate with a strong background in mathematical reasoning, geometry, and applied problem-solving. I also have tutoring experience in academic subjects and have successfully helped students improve both grades and confidence. • Who my lessons are for: KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students — as well as adult learners who want to refresh their maths skills or prepare for exams. Above all, my goal is to make every student feel capable and proud of their progress. I tailor each lesson to individual learning styles and make sure every topic “clicks” before moving forward.
