About the lesson

I believe that when students grasp the "why" behind the "how," it empowers them to solve problems more flexibly so I focus on building a deep understanding of core concepts rather than just teaching to the test. I emphasize learning by doing. Rather than simply explaining the steps, I work through problems with students, guiding them through each part of the solution while encouraging them to take an active role.

My typical lesson plan includes:
- Introduction (5-10 minutes)
- Core Lesson (20-30 minutes)
- Guided Practice (20-30 minutes)
- Independent Practice (10-15 minutes)
- Wrap-Up and Review (5-10 minutes)

Who are the lessons for: I work with students at various levels, ranging from elementary school to university undergraduates. Whether they’re learning basic arithmetic, preparing for SAT/ACT exams, or tackling university-level calculus, I’m able to adjust the level of instruction to meet their needs.
- Elementary and Middle School: Basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, word problems, early algebra.
- High School: Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, SAT/ACT math prep.
- College/University: Calculus (1-3), linear algebra, differential equations, discrete math, statistics, and other higher-level math topics.
- Test Preparation: SAT, ACT, GRE, AP Calculus, and other standardized tests.

Every student learns differently. Some students may benefit from a more structured lesson with clear goals and specific exercises, while others may learn best through interactive, discussion-based sessions. I’m flexible in adjusting my teaching style depending on the student’s needs and learning preferences.
