About Michael
I am a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate at the University of Birmingham and have just completed my second year of study and I am starting a placement year in September at Mercedes Heigh Performance Powertrains.
I have always enjoyed supporting and teaching other people and watching them grow. Using different methods of teaching to tailor my sessions to each student is something I find rewarding, and having dyslexia has shown me how important having a teacher who can do this is.

My teaching is always based around the student and their needs. We would go over topics, looking at the key ‘take-away’ points to then work through practice questions. We would cover questions that sprout form this process in order to develop a broader understanding of the subject area.
Working with a student in this way provides them with a greater understanding of a subject, allowing for quicker analyses of problems and the ability find adequate solutions to them. When a student is under the pressure of exam conditions, this teaching style provides them with the knowledge to work backwards to address something they may have missed.
I am a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate at the University of Birmingham going into my third year, teaching maths and physics at GCSE level and maths at A level with a typical lesson lasting 40 minutes.
