About Alice

As a 2022 graduate of the SACE curriculum, I have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the syllabus and criteria that examiners are looking for in skills and application tasks, investigation folios and exams.

I am a friendly and approachable person, creating an environment where my students feel comfortable reaching out and asking for help. To gauge my student's understanding after I have explained the content, I feel the best way to consolidate learning is through answering a range of questions. Thus, both myself and the student are able to determine which areas they feel confident in as well as areas that require further assistance and explanation. Through this method, this allows students to improve their reading and comprehension skills and their ability to identify what the question is asking.

About the lesson

Hi there! My name is Alice I'm a fourth year medical student and I would love to help you achieve your academic goals whether that be understanding new content on a greater level or improving your current grade to a higher grade band, my services cater to all students with different learning goals. Through my personal experiences, tutoring to me is about care on a personal level. I understand that everyone is receptive to new information in different ways, and thus, I constantly personalise my sessions to suit my students, making my sessions as interactive as possible. My objective as a tutor is to get my students to a level where they are able to apply new concepts in a range of different scenarios through different learning strategies, rather than rote learning, prioritising quality in the time spent studying rather than quantity. I have been tutoring for 4 years and have had a breadth of experience when it comes to teaching different year levels from 3-12.

*for stage 1/2 students: it is highly recommended to do 1.5 hours per subject to maximise learning
