About Reina

I am a medical student at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and I've finished all my clinical rotations except for Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. I am currently working on my medical doctoral thesis in the field of Neurology. I also worked for 2.5 years as a health care consultant and was part of the recruiting team. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and minored in Music. I have about 3 years of experience as a Tutor (both privately and small groups) and was also a Teaching Assistant for two classes at the university level.

About the lesson

I like to engage my students in an active learning session, where they feel like they are not just being talked to, but truly taken along with on a learning journey that is fit to the student's needs. I prefer to draw my own figures together along with the students rather than simply using PowerPoint slides. My lesson plans depend on the needs of each student: do they need reviewing? Do they need to learn a new topic entirely? What is their focus and priority at the moment? I think what sets me apart as a tutor is my flexibility in shaping my teaching techniques based on what each student needs. I don't think there is such a thing as a stupid question and absolutely no shame in wanting help when learning.
