About Dante
Hello, I am Dante. I hold degrees in Biology and Biotechnology with hands-on experience with research in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. I have experience tutoring college students in science courses and assisting with laboratory instruction as a TA. This includes helping students understand experimental techniques and biological concepts.
My research background has given me practical experience with techniques such as mammalian cell culture, PCR, and protein analysis.
I enjoy making difficult science topics friendly and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
My goal is to help students become more confident and independent learners rather than simply memorize information for an exam.

My tutoring approach is interactive and focused on understanding rather than memorization. The way it works is I introduce a concept and provide a short explanation. I then work through an example with the student so they can visually see and then have them solve a similar problem while I guide them with questions. I use practice problems, walkthroughs, and digital whiteboards. I have found this builds confidence in my students.
I have experience tutoring college level Biology, Molecular Biology, Organic Chemistry, and other STEM courses. I also create personalized study guides for every student and practice problems based on the material the student is receiving. My goal is to help students understand why an answer is correct. I find this works great for exams and future assignments
