About Autumn
My job in the classroom is to make sure all students both receive the individual aid they need while allowing them to come to solutions through their own understanding and at their own pace. I wish to guide my students to a path of learning that works for them so they can confidently work on their own. I believe all students have equal capability to master any subject they please, and I have so much respect for the unique pace and qualities each student may posses.

As a student I struggled to keep up with the pace of others and certain subjects did not come as naturally to me. At times I doubted my intelligence and abilities until I realized I simply needed a different approach to my learning. I have become passionate about helping students discover their learning style by working patiently one on one with them. I am an assistant teacher for ages 9-12 at a Montessori School. This age is the perfect time to build a strong foundation in a students education and harness confidence in one’s intelligence and interests. I also love teaching elementary age students as it allows me to dive into many subjects I love such as math, geometry, earth and life sciences, history, writing and more. My teaching style and philosophy comes from my Montessori background; as I hope to foster self motivation and growth in children through their unique ability to learn.
