About Parham
My students graduate with high marks and go on to choose science and math focused degrees at top state and Ivy League universities. I currently hold space for 10 private students weekly and have a wait list for in-person on-campus support services. Plus, we have fun! I love to teach math, especially to kids who think they don’t like math! After a decade of instruction from ages nine to sixteen, I use both concrete tools and creative techniques to breathe life into an abstract subject. My background in biochemistry from Virginia Tech combines with my experience as lead teacher in a Montessori learning environment gifted me many methods for teaching the same material because everyone learns differently. I specialize in elementary math, 6th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry.
