About Sooryabalan

Hello! I'm Soorya, an MSc Physics graduate with a specialization in Astrophysics from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), one of India's leading research institutes. I secured an All India Rank of 114 in IIT-JAM, completed my MSc through TIFR's nationally competitive Integrated MSc–PhD program, and later scored in the 97.52 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT).

For me, teaching is much more than helping students score well in examinations. I genuinely enjoy sharing knowledge and helping people become more confident, curious, and capable thinkers. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing a student understand an idea that once seemed difficult and gradually become an independent problem solver.

Mathematics has always appealed to me because it develops logical thinking and the ability to approach problems with clarity. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. Rather than asking students to memorize procedures, I aim to help them understand the reasoning behind concepts so they can apply them confidently to new problems.

I enjoy working with students from different backgrounds and learning styles, and I strive to create a friendly, supportive environment where questions are always welcome. About the lesson

My classes are designed for students from Classes 6-12 who want to build a strong foundation in Mathematics, improve their problem-solving skills, or prepare for school examinations. I welcome students from CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, and other curricula, and I adapt my teaching according to each student's syllabus and learning pace.

A typical lesson begins by understanding the concept intuitively before moving on to formulas and problem-solving techniques. I encourage students to ask questions freely and to think independently rather than memorize procedures. Once a concept is clear, we work through examples together, followed by guided practice and independent questions to build confidence and accuracy.

Every student learns differently, so I personalize my teaching style based on their strengths, difficulties, and goals. Whether you need help with regular coursework, homework, exam preparation, or simply want to become more confident in Mathematics, I aim to make every lesson clear, engaging, and enjoyable.
