About Belle

I am a Malaysian Chinese multilingual Mandarin speaker based in London. Having grown up with both Chinese and Malaysian cultural influences, I can help students learn not only the language but also the cultural context behind everyday expressions and communication.

I understand that Mandarin can initially seem challenging, particularly its tones and written characters. I therefore take a patient, encouraging approach and break each topic into manageable steps. Whether the student is learning Mandarin for the first time, developing an interest in Chinese culture or building useful everyday language skills, I will tailor the lessons to their individual pace and goals.

About the lesson

I want to make it enjoyable for students who do not have the basics of speaking and writing Mandarin Chinese. I always welcome people who want to pick up a second language! Mandarin Chinese is rather difficult and I enjoy finding ways to make it engaging and simple for students to learn.

During our first lesson, I will learn about the student’s current level, interests and goals. We will then agree on a suitable learning plan covering conversation, pronunciation, reading and writing in the right balance.
