About Rebecca

My name is Rebecca Murphy and you can consider me your fun and whimsical music fairy godmother. I want you to enjoy music as much as I do, and finish our lessons feeling spirited, lifted since we started and focused, looking very much forward to our next time together. If you don't understand something, instead of sitting blankly I highly encourage lots of questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability. My goal is to make you feel good about the music you explore and create, and to grow in your confidence as a performer and budding musician!

About the lesson

Hello Explorers! I am a very hands-on, energetic teacher that encourages fun and very much looks to push you and bring you out of your shell so that the best music can be created and shared together. I encourage you to explore and expand your collective repertoire, and while making sure you have the fundamental skills, I also champion using them in contexts that first and foremost you enjoy. Whatever encourages you to practise, I am in full support of, perhaps you can even teach me some new material as we get along!
